Give examples to show that plastics are noncorrosive in nature.

Plastics

Plastics are non-corrosive in nature, which means  they do not corrode or deteriorate when exposed to various chemicals or environmental conditions. Here are some examples illustrating the non-corrosive nature of plastics:

  1.  Plastics are often used in the construction of tanks and pipelines to transport corrosive chemicals, such as acids and alkalis, because they resist corrosion.
  2.  Plastic pipes and fittings are used in plumbing systems because they do not corrode or rust like metal pipes lead to leaks and water contamination.
  3.  Plastic containers and packaging materials are used to store and transport food and beverages because they do not interact with the contents and do not alter their taste or quality.
  4.   Plastic automotive parts, such as fuel tanks and engine parts, are resistant to corrosion and can withstand severe road and engine operating conditions.
  5. Plastic coatings are often applied to metal surfaces to prevent corrosion, such as in bridge construction, ships and offshore oil rigs.

These are just a few examples of how plastics are used in many applications due to their non-corrosive nature.
