There are 2 important methods of irrigation that conserve water.
1 . Drip Irrigation
2 . Sprinkler System
Drip irrigation - Drip irrigation is a type of irrigation method in which we give water to the plants using some nano pipes, from these nano pipes the water directly goes into the roots of the plants from which a very big amount of the water is conserved. The whole system of drip irrigation gives water to the plants drop by drop to ensure that water is not wasted, from this reason many farmers prefer to use a drip irrigation system. This type of irrigation system also performs a good role in those areas where the quantity of water is very low dry places ex - as Rajasthan.
Sprinkler Irrigation - In this type of irrigation system many pipes are connected to the main pipe. All pipes have rotating nozzles at their top which help the pipe sprinkle the water into the plants. All this system work from a motor which gives pressure to the pipes from which water is come out from the rotating nozzles of the pipe like rain.
